Christ in Us — The Hope of Glory

The purpose of weakness in our mortal, weak bodies is for God's surpassing power and glory to be revealed through bruised and broken vessels. 2 Corinthians 12:10 says that "His power is made perfect in our weakness". This is one of the core biblical truths that the Bride of Christ has begun to stray away from and forget in this depraved day and age. We live in a time that teaches self-love, prioritizing a strong well-put-together shell, and chastises weakness as unnecessary.

All of this self-glorifying runs counter to the truth that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) There is a shroud developing over the eyes of the body of Christ that is beginning to cover over the innate weaknesses of our inner man. This shroud of deception is going to lead many away from Christ in the Day of His return.

In 2 Cor 4:7 Paul says "we have THIS TREASURE in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not us..." The treasure Paul speaks of is the very life of Christ Jesus and the beauty that radiates and is attached to this Man. We have the perfect life of Christ that fulfilled the righteous intent of the law that no other man lived stored as a treasure inside of our heart.

The life of Jesus inside of us is like an uncrushable gem. We are not victim to the circumstances of life, but now circumstances are the victims to Christ inside of us. Our circumstances and difficult situations yield at the feet of Jesus. Though we may be afflicted in all ways, perplexed, persecuted, or struck down, none of these have the power to permanently remove the body of Jesus in us. The many "deaths" that we experience in our mortal bodies, whether these are of the natural realm or of the spiritual realm, cause the life of Jesus to be "manifested in our mortal flesh". The pressures of this world and exposing of our human weakness are the catalyst for Jesus to be revealed in us.

The Father did not desire for His children to operate and live life under the facade of human strength; rather, He wanted us to experience the all-consuming strengthening of Jesus being displayed through our many failures. There is NO FORCE on earth powerful enough to prevent His gospel from eventually reaching every area and echelon of the earth.

So what is the grand scheme of us being like jars of clay? Through Christ, we are now able to experience resurrection life through every trial, failure, and instance of suffering. We are now able to experience the body and life of Christ come to life in our weak and mortal bodies! This is great news, Beloved. This is the greatest news for New Covenant believers. The Word of God says that "this is all for our sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God." God is desiring to strengthen the Bride of Christ in this day of age. He wants to strengthen us in thanksgiving. He wants us to experience His manifold blessing and unquenchable love like a Father for His children. He wants us to grow hearts of thanksgiving that worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness. Beloved, we are joining in with the Father's divine plan of strengthening the Bride and releasing the spirit of revival to create a praying church. We must align our hearts to be calibrated with His love and purpose today!
